How it works

Install the app from Bitrix24.Market; only Bitrix24 administrators can install and use it. Sign in with a Microsoft work or school admin account and ensure a valid Microsoft Teams license; migration will not complete without it. The app imports users, chats, teams, channels, messages, and files; it can also migrate data from multiple channel types (standard, private, shared) into Bitrix24 chats with matching access rules. File transfer size is limited by a maximum value shown in the app; you can set a lower lim it before migration starts. Users are matched by email; if emails match, the Bitrix24 user becomes the owner of migrated entities, otherwise a new user is created. Start migration and track progress; preparation can take a long time and the full import may take several days for large datasets. Do not delete  entities during migration. Projects and groups must have unique names; the app adds “(Microsoft Teams)” to avoid conflicts, but repeated migrations can still fail if previous groups remain. Some messages may  be skipped if the user is not found or the message is empty; HTML and meeting code are removed during import. If the admin account lacks permissions, migration pauses and requires user action. A reset button  clears app settings but does not delete migrated data. After completion, a file with unmigrated entities and errors may be available. In Bitrix24, messages older than one month may be hidden until you use  the search icon to load them.

FAQ

We are not sure if we can run the migration. Who has access and what account is required?

Only Bitrix24 administrators can run it, and you must use a Microsoft work or school admin account with an active Teams license.

We migrated, but some messages are missing. What could be the reason?

Messages are skipped if the owner is not found or the content becomes empty after HTML and meeting code are removed.

The migration stopped. What should we do?

If Microsoft permissions are insufficient, the app pauses and prompts you to take action; after resolving permissions, continue migration.

We want to restart the process. Will reset delete the imported data?

No. Reset clears app settings only; it does not remove migrated data from Bitrix24.
