The solution allows to create and store articles in sections.

«Knowledge Base» by M.C.Art — it’s a convenient analog of regular wiki.

Knowledge Base — it’s a system for storing articles with dividing by sections. This is a universal tool for the organization of information in your company.

The undoubted advantage of this solution is that you don’t need to understand wiki markup, as when working with a regular wiki. In order to correctly place the markings, you will need the appropriate knowledge and time, and any knowledgeable employee in Bitrix24 can work with the Knowledge Base without any additional time investment in training.

For a comfortable start with the Knowledge Base, create the necessary sections to create articles already with a bind to specific topics.

Creating a section in the Knowledge Base:

1. Open the Knowledge Base, click on the plus sign near to the name of the application.

2. In the next window choose «Section».

3. In the window «Create a section» enter the name and click «Create».

Note that:

— the same section names are allowed.

— when there are more than 30 partitions, after the page is updated, page by page navigation appears. Folders are arranged on a page in two columns.

— Create/edit/delete sections and articles is allowed only the administrator who created the portal.

Creating articles in the Knowledge Base:

1. Open the Knowledge Base, click on the plus sign near to the name of the application.

2. In the next window choose «Article».

3. In the editor enter the header and text of the article.

4. Choose the section for this article. If the section is not selected, the article will be moved to the «All articles» section.

5. Click «Create an article».

Editor capabilities.

Besides the header and text, you may add to the article: pictures, videos, URL.

To add a picture, click on the button with the image, and choose the picture on your computer.

To add a video, click on the button with the filmstrip, enter a link to video, click Save.

To add an URL for any text, mark the text, click on the link button, enter the URL and click Save.

Also you may mark the text in bold, make it underlined, strikethrough, superscript or subscript, in italics, add the style (Header1, Header2), align to left, right or center.

To set the font color, select the text, press the button with the underlined letter A and set the color.

To set the text background color, select the text, press the button with the shaded letter A and set the color.

There is an opportunity to add a quote, numbered or bulleted lists.

Editing articles.

You can edit an already published article at any time, move it to another section.

Click «Edit» next to the title of the article. Edit the article, click «Save».

Attention! At the moment, only the administrator who created the portal can delete (as well as create and edit) the articles.

Deleting articles and sections.

To delete a section or article, click the «Delete» button next to the corresponding title of the article/section.

In the next release of the application we will make a number of improvements for the convenience of your work:

1. Search for articles and sections.

2. Ability to edit folder names.

3. Selecting folders when creating articles (at the moment you can select only the last 30 created folders).

4. Access permissions for users to create and edit articles and folders.

5. Inserting pictures, located on a disk, into an article, by link.

6. Subsections to store articles.

Attention! The data of your Knowledge base is stored on our server.

If you are worried about the confidentiality and safety of your data, we recommend using the Self-Hosted Bitrix24 and the module “Knowledge Base for the Self-Hosted Bitrix24”.

1. On the app page click «Install», enter the installation path, click «Continue».

2. On the portal click «Install». In the next window tick two boxes with the license agreement and privacy policy, click «Install».

3. The solution is ready for work. At the moment, only the portal administrator with ID = 1 (the portal creator) can create and edit articles.
